Cafina

Since firing up the roaster some 12 years ago, Caffissimo has developed into a 40+ chain of premium cafés, with our own in house distribution and roasting arm. Our philosophy has been to grow the beverage side of the business, with sites tending to be under 100 sqm and coffee accounting  for about 70% of our sales, so we have to make sure we get that element of the business right all of the time and understand the importance of this key factor in the success of our growth. We only roast for our franchisees, which means we can concentrate 100% on them and respond quickly to the ever changing market place as it develops and new trends emerge.
We roast only using 100% premium quality Arabica Beans, we roast on a Probat Roaster and take great care at all stages of the roasting and distribution process, from evaluating the green beans, roasting the coffee through to cupping the final product; we like to think that our coffee is of the highest quality and are most proud of the many Bronze and Silver Medals that we have won over the years in the Golden Bean Competition, culminating in this year’s winning of a gold medal for our Cafina blend. We also work closely with all our suppliers and especially value the relationships we have built up with them over the years.
The blend that won us the Gold Medal Award, this year is our Cafina Blend; it is best described as a medium to dark roast with an exceptionally rich full body, exhibiting complex caramel and hazelnut sweet flavours and it is perfectly suited for milk based coffees.
We are a WA based franchise and most of the cafés are within the Perth Metropolitan area. Site selection and rental levels are absolutely critical to us in evaluating any potential site, as in the selection of suitable franchisees. The design of the cafés is best described as contemporary/retro; it is not a cookie cutter look and we design the café to fit in and complement the building’s environment that it will reside in. In the past we have won interior design awards for our fit outs, and we strive to be aware of any emerging trends.
Well, it has been quite a journey for Caffissimo, from fledgling start up to a company with a recognisable brand and a cabinet full of Golden Bean medals.
