About the Author: David Holm is one of Australia’s leading architects. His design focus is in the provision of enjoyable and successful public built form. He is enthused by the interaction of education, design philosophies and practical constraints.
He is passionate about observing and recording via drawing. In 2003, David was awarded the NSW Board of Architects Registered Architect Travelling Scholarship, assessing architecture and urban form throughout Italy. The ‘piazza’, Italy’s democratic outdoor room, was studied in depth via drawings. David’s drawings and observations have been acquired by the NSW State Library Architecture Foundation programme.
