Brisbane Brothers aim to raise $10,000 for charity one coffee at a time

Local Brisbane businessmen, David and Jason Narciso of Elixir Coffee, are aiming to raise over $10,000 at this month’s St Vincent De Paul CEO Sleepout to help the homelessness issue in Brisbane.

Locals can show their support just by drinking their usual coffee at Elixir HQ Espresso Lounge on Hayward Street in Stafford. Customers are able to get involved via their daily coffee fix, every Thursday and Friday, up until the 18th June event, where $1 from each coffee sold will be personally donated to the cause by Elixir Coffee.

If coffee isn’t your cup of choice, locals can also donate via the CEO Sleepout website at www.ceosleepout.org.au, under Jason or David Narciso, or donate what you can in store by giving your spare change to the Elixir HQ team. Between the Elixir wholesalers across the country and Elixir HQ itself, the coffee loving entrepreneurs serve up over 1 million cups of the magical substance to Australia’s elite coffee crowd every month.

On Thursday 18 June, the Narciso brothers will join other notable Brisbane CEOs to sleep under the stars at Suncorp Stadium; providing just a small glimpse of the conditions some 105,237 people in Australia have to deal with on a regular basis. Passion has always been the pair’s driving force. A love for coffee has seen the duo return 100% year on year growth for the past three years and now they’re turning that passion and drive for success to those who need it most; Australia’s homeless population. David is excited to join forces with St Vinnies CEO Sleepout event for the first time saying, “We’re so excited to be helping out the community that allowed us to thrive and really supported our passion for coffee. To be able to give back and use our status and the Elixir headquarters as a platform to fundraise is very humbling and offers us an amazing opportunity to help change the lives of those less fortunate one coffee at a time!”

Adding to this Jason Narciso is envisaging this event to be a great success in helping out the spiralling problem of homelessness in Brisbane and indeed, in Australia as a whole. He said, “It is so important for businesses to give back to the communities in which they operate and I really feel that the CEO Sleepout will be a great success this year. It’s an event like no other that just gets bigger and bigger every year which is fantastic in raising the awareness of this real issue. I’m very proud to be a part of it. “We are doing everything we can to help raise more than $10,000 and we are urging all of our customers, wholesalers, friends and family to jump on the bandwagon. Donate what you can instore, or go to our profiles (Jason and David Narciso) on www.ceosleepout.org.au to donate now. Every cent helps!”

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the CEO Sleepout and the event aims to raise over $10 million. The current donations for the cause this year sit at around $2 million.
