The Coffee Club is celebrating after outclassing more than 50 competitors to scoop up top honours at the recent Golden Bean Coffee Awards.
The Coffee Club’s exclusive signature blend was awarded gold in the Chain Store/Franchise (Espresso) Category with judges praising its harmonious balance and full bodied flavour. The blend also took home the bronze medal in the Chain Store/Franchise (Milk-based) Category.
Minor DKL CEO Jason Ball said that that the company was delighted with the win for the Franchise network and loyal customer base that make and enjoy over 29 million coffees each year.
“To win gold in such a competitive field of popular Australian coffee chains is a huge achievement and truly demonstrates our commitment to excellent coffee.
“We want our customers to know our trained Barista’s love making their coffee, to know it is award winning and proudly 100% UTZ certified. This certification means our customers can have confidence in the quality and sustainability of our coffee right back to the origin of the bean,” he said.
The gold medal espresso blend will also feature across The Coffee Club’s chilled beverage range, including a brand new Espresso Frappe launching this week.
Moreover, the introduction of the award-winning signature blend comes at a time when The Coffee Club looks to bolster its market-leading credentials with the hire of seven new barista training managers to service every store in Australia.
Mr Ball said “In addition to this win we have hired a dedicated team of top quality barista trainers to cover our entire network across Australia to ensure the highest quality of coffee is served in all of our stores,” he said.
“We’ve already been inundated with positive feedback from franchisees and staff about the hands-on, frequent training which aids in maintaining quality and consistency in our coffee. We now look forward to both our loyal and new customers having a liquid gold experience!”
