There is precious time left for competitors to register for the first World Tea Brewers Cup event in Australia.
The inaugural event will happen at Fine Food Australia in Melbourne on September 12 and 13, and it includes brewing as well as tasting tea.
It’s all going down thanks to naming sponsor Brita Water Filters, with the winner of the Australian event to be flown to Shanghai to compete in the World Tea Brewers Cup final in May 2017.
Organiser David Parnham said entrants from tea companies, coffee roasters and cafes already include representatives from popular Melbourne fixtures Proud Mary and St Ali.
“There are still spaces available,” David said. “Please do refer this invitation to others if you feel that they are passionate about tea.”
