ALMOND BREEZE BARISTA BLEND LAUNCHES AUSTRALIA’S FIRST NATIONAL BARISTA DAY

Sydney, Australia, 11th February 2019: Almond Breeze Barista Blend, Australia’s low sugar cafe almond milk, specifically for baristas is proud to be behind the launch of the first National Barista Day.

The annual day, to be celebrated on March 1st, is all about shouting out the people behind the beans and machines who are keeping Australia’s booming coffee scene thriving, one expert pour at a time.

To mark the day, Almond Breeze Barista Blend is encouraging all Australians to show their barista (or themselves) some love by voting for them and telling them how they feel on BaristasforBaristas.com/NBD throughout the month of February in the lead up to the day of appreciation.

Michael McNulty, country manager for Australia and New Zealand Almond Breeze, commented: “With the barista being the tenth fastest growing job in Australia and there currently being over 40,000 baristas in Australia, Almond Breeze Barista Blend felt it was time there was a day dedicated to celebrating our hardworking bartenders of the morning.” “There’s a reason Australia’s coffee scene is the best in the world and it’s down to the passionate and talented people who are driving it forward, so we want to give them a much-needed pat on the back through launching National Barista Day and we hope that the public really show their support” Michael said.

A panel of industry experts will judge the entries and decide the winners, with the prize pool including a money can’t buy experience with a world leading barista champion and a cash reward to help them achieve their dreams. Whether that’s to travel, develop skills through training, or to help supercharge a business – it’s about championing the heroes of the morning and helping to push the baristas’ careers forward.

Does your barista always have time for a chat? Does your barista always remember your order and have it ready for you when you walk through the cafe door? Are you a barista and think you deserve a shout out? If the answer to any of those is yes, then it’s time to recognise your barista (or yourself) and get involved this National Barista Day. Voting is now open at www.BaristasforBaristas.com/NBD and closes 11.59pm 28th February 2019.
