Camberwell’s Short black Cafe has added to ist reputation with barista Aaron Dongsu Shin winning the title of Victorian Breezy Master thanks to Almond Breeze Australia.
All the action went down on Tuesday night at Maillard Atelier, the exciting new space in Coburg which has been created as a neutral communal space for coffee professionals for roasting, education, meetings and social functions.
It was a tightly contested battle with just two points separating the final trio. Aaron managed to claim victory from Aum Phattra Phithakphon of Hardware Société while Super Random’s Yusuke Koide finished third.
Aaron took home his Reg Barber-made trophy and $1000 and will head to Sydney in October to compete in the grand final for the title of Grand Breezy Master and an all expenses paid trip to North America.
