Barefoot Barista hosted the Gold Coast Latte Art Championship last night which featured over 50 competitors.
Competitors were challenged to create a number of set latte art designs and demonstrate there creativity with free pour in head to head smackdown battles.
The event was the official launch of the MooBar cafe milk system. Moobar is an automatic milk dispensing system designed to improve the efficiency of coffee production. The system feeds from 80litres of milk saving hours in preparation. Advanced 3D Mapping Technology scans the container instantly before filling the perfect amount of milk.
After hours of head to head battle it came down to two. Matty Reece of Velocity Espresso and Jacob King of Silipo Coffee. In a close fought final Jacob was crowned King of the Gold Coast and took home a $3,000 cash prize from Norco Milk. In second place Matt Reece won a Puq Press Automatic Tamping System, Whilst Jagon Gillett of Double Barrel claimed 3rd place and the Bombora cool toys prize pack
