Muki Yeung – Chux Barista Cup WINNER!

Muki Yeung of Ducale Coffee wins Chux Barista Cup at Fine Food Australia
Fine Food Australia hosted the Chux Barista Cup including 8 of Sydney’s best baristas.  The Chux Barista Cup was designed to reproduce the pressure of what happens in great espresso bars around the world. Competing head to head baristas had to prepare 11 coffees in 10 minutes with 10 coffees made to order and the 11th being the baristas specialty beverage.

The competition was spread over 2 days with the Quarter Finals held on Wednesday, the semi final and grand final on Thursday last week. The final saw Andy Lui of Cherry Bean and Muki Yeung of Ducale Coffee showdown. It was tied at 4 cups each through 8 cups with Muki staying calm under pressure and taking out the remaining cups to claim the title of Chux Barista Cup Champion.

Muki is a trainer for Ducale Coffee based in the Sydney dc Laundry. As part of her prize Muki will now attend the Natvia Golden Bean Roaster Competition & Conference that will be held in Port Macquarie from 9th – 12th October 2013.
