The Wood Roaster

By CCDigital – August 4, 2020

Situated on Shepherd Street, in the heart of Marrickville is The Wood Roaster, one of the most unique speciality coffee roasters in New South Wales and winner of MICE 2020 Silver medal as milk based coffee and MICE 2020 silver medal as Espresso.

As the name suggests, The Wood Roaster roast their incredible coffee beans over locally sourced, sustainable wood and notably, are one of only a very few companies in the world to roast coffee this way.

The Wood Roaster team are unwavering in their support of cafes and restaurants in helping to achieve their business and marketing objectives by excellent customer service along with unique, mouth-watering, wood-roasted coffee.

They procure, roast, pack, sell and deliver their bespoke coffee to cafes and restaurants both domestically & internationally.

Director, Kim Loupis and his team of passionate coffee artisans have carefully curated a selection of internationally influenced Coffee Blends and Single-Origin Coffees to cater to all types of coffee-drinkers & cafe owners – from the experienced coffee-holics to the first timers.

Background

The Wood Roaster is a family-owned business that was founded back in 2012. The idea initially came from a small cafe in Sydney called il espresso that Kim previously owned.

The Process

The wood-roasting process is quite unique. It is processed through a one-of-a-kind, fully temperature controlled, state of the art roaster, enhanced with data logging technology that accurately regulates the method of roasting and is capable of roasting up to 16.5 tonnes of coffee, weekly.

Environmental Responsibility

Wood-fired roasting not only provides The Wood Roaster a point of difference in the coffee roasting market, but they are also one of the most sustainable, renewable, and environmentally friendly practices.

The Coffee

Coffee blends are developed in two ways – either they’re created & developed internally, or, customers can request specific blends.

Coffee Blends

The coffee-roasting prodigies, Kim Loupis and Satin Rau work side by side to create various flavours into delicious mouth-watering coffee blends that you are bound to love.

The Wood Roaster team also offers single-origin coffee beans
