Sydney, Australia: Almond Breeze Barista Blend, the low sugar food service almond milk designed specifically for baristas by baristas, is proud to be supporting World Barista Champion 2018 Aga Rojewska on a specialist coffee tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The visit will see Polish national Aga host coffee masterclasses at venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland where she will share her knowledge and expertise, and provide tips on what it takes to compete on the global stage in the highly competitive and growing coffee industry.
Last year, Aga Rojewska was the first female barista to win the World Barista Championships since the event’s inception in 2000.
Almond Breeze Barista Blend Australia and New Zealand Country Manager, Michael McNulty is thrilled to be supporting Aga and her tour of the region.
“Aga has incredible clout in the global coffee industry; from her talent in latte art to understanding the science behind what it takes to prepare and truly master the perfect coffee, she is a true coffee rockstar for those in the scene,” said Michael.
“We can’t wait to have her tour Australia and New Zealand with us, Almond Breeze Barista Blend, and celebrate our unique and growing craft, I’m sure she’ll be impressed with our stellar local coffee credentials” finished Michael.
Almond Breeze Barista Blend and leading industry platform BaristasforBaristas.com are committed to driving the trans Tasman coffee industry and barista community forward through news, resources, information and thought leadership – a move supported by the thousands of members of the community who regularly visit the platform.
Baristas For Baristas was created in response to the barista being identified as Australia’s tenth fastest growing career, and from this, a study was commissioned to better understand what keeps the community up at night.
Results released in the first Australian Barista Census (ABC) showed that 20% of baristas are unsure of where and how to access specialist training, highlighting the importance of the program to the development of the industry in Australia and New Zealand.
The long term goal of Almond Breeze Barista Blend and BaristasforBaristas.com is to continue to connect people in the coffee scene and invest in the future of the industry by
giving access to more specialty coffee training courses, business mentors to give baristas the confidence to start their own café, and information on safeguarding their future in the industry.
Aga will also form part of the judging team at Almond Breeze Barista Blend’s Breezey Masters latte art competition finals at Specialty Coffee Curators in Sydney on World Coffee Day, 1st October 2019, with more guest judges to be announced soon.
The Aga Rojewska tour dates are as follows:
