Why did you initially look at online ordering for your business?
In lunchtimes we were really busy – so we wanted to get organised and be able to plan ahead. I noticed that another company used the system, so we thought we’d try it. It has fit well. We also had an outdated website, so we thought that would be a good way to get up to date.
Has it increased your customer base? Saved you time? Increased efficiency in your workplace?
We are able to organise our lunch times better, people don’t have to have to wait – so we get better customer retention, we can track customers and orders – to see how frequently they are visiting and when they are not coming as well, Payment is online which is less cash in the drawer – it’s quick and easy people can come in and out
What did you think of the setup of the system? Was all that work worth it?
It was definitely worth it because you can upsell- people will end up paying more and buying more when they can see what’s available, so you end up profiting better as well
What have your customers said about having online ordering?
Yeah they love it – you get about a small percent of people who don’t like it, but most people love it -a lot of the customers use it – get about 30-40 orders a day and people are using it for catering now as well
What would you say to other young and savvy businesses about using online ordering?
I would say definitely use it – it’s not for every business- but if you are after efficiency and speed in your lunchtimes then definitely look into it and use it. It’s benefited my business people order more and more often because they are able to pick it up and run
